Jonathan Mark Woodward was born on November 20, 1973, in Moscow, Idaho. Jonathan is the son of an architect and has one older brother, Jeremy.

Jonathan started his career in acting very early on. At the age of six he appeared in a local library production of Count Dracula.

The family spent some time in Moscow before later moving to Maine where Jonathan graduated from Cape Elizabeth high school. After graduating from high school Jonathan moved to New York City where he enrolled in the NYU Experimental Theatre Program, which he graduated from in 1988.

Since graduating Jonathan did a number of stage performances, after which the bright lights of Hollywood called, and so Jonathan moved out of New York to LA. Here he had a varied TV and movie career. He’s been one of the few actors to have appeared on all three of Joss Whedon’s TV shows (Angel, Buffy and Firefly), he’s had an acclaimed performance opposite Emma Thompson in the movie Wit and has most recently been seen on the TV show Navy NCIS.

Along with his TV, movie and stage appearances Jonathan has become a favourite guest for many convention goers. He’s appeared at conventions both in the States and the UK where he always makes a lasting impression with his talks and Sunday morning sermons.

He’s now moved back to New York where he continues his stage and screen career.
